Cheltenham Ladies’ College has a large collection of over 120 high-quality keyboard instruments, featuring an appealing variety of manufacturers and models.
Performance spaces
Princess Hall (1000-seat Victorian Gothic concert/assembly Hall)

- Yamaha C2 grand
- Also houses a 3-manual Kenneth Tickell tracker organ (2007)
Parabola Arts Centre (Grade II listed building with a 315 seat multi-purpose auditorium, 2009)
- Fazioli F278 concert grand
- Also contains a Tickell chamber organ, acquired in 2020
Council Room (A 50-seat Recital Room, unique to the 1860s “Arts & Crafts Gothic” style)
- Steinway B grand
Sanders Room (A smaller and more intimate 40 seat Recital Room, 1860s)
- Yamaha C2 Silent grand
- Yamaha U1 upright for 2-piano work
Lower Hall (The central hall of the original College buildings, seating 200, 1860s)

Music Department
A beautiful purpose-built 1860s Music Department on 4 floors, comprising 37 rooms, each with an upright or grand piano: Steinway, Welmar, Zimmermann, Yamaha, Kawai, Kemble etc.
Boarding Houses
There are six junior and five senior boarding houses, each with a grand piano in the drawing room and between 3 and 7 upright pianos which are used daily for students’ practice.
