Planning a visit to Parabola Arts Centre, Princess Hall or Cheltenham Ladies’ College? Find answers to some of the questions we’re most often asked about our venues, tickets, parking, accessibility and facilities.

Visiting our venues

Our venues are located in the heart of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Both the Princess Hall and Parabola Arts Centre are centrally located in Cheltenham and are within walking distance of the town centre.

 

Cheltenham Ladies’ College does not provide public parking for either venue.

The nearest public car park to the Princess Hall and Parabola Arts Centre is on St George’s Road, approximately a two-minute walk away. Limited on-street parking is also available nearby (please refer to on-street signage for time limits and charges).

 

Please contact us before your visit if you have specific parking or access requirements, so that we can advise on the options available for your venue.

 

Tickets and events

Visit our Box Office page to discover upcoming theatre, music, talks and other live events taking place at Cheltenham Ladies’ College.

 

Tickets are sold through the ticketing provider specified for each event.

Please follow the Book Tickets link on the relevant event listing to find the correct ticketing information.

 

Ticket arrangements vary by event. Please check the individual event listing or contact the event organiser for information about box office arrangements.

 

Events tickets are generally non-refundable. Please refer to your ticket conditions for further details.

 

Accessibility

Both Parabola Arts Centre and Princess Hall have level access, although the arrangements differ between the two venues.

Parabola Arts Centre

The Parabola Arts Centre has level access via the side entrance on Parabola Road, leading into the foyer and auditorium. The auditorium can accommodate up to four wheelchair users and carers.

Princess Hall

The Princess Hall has level access via a gate located to the left of the main reception steps on Bayshill Road. Please report to main reception on arrival (there is an intercom at street level), and our receptionist or duty manager will assist you. This entrance requires a member of staff to accompany you.

Other spaces

If you require access details of other spaces, ie if you are attending a conference or residential event, please contact us so we can provide with details.

Yes. We recommend contacting us in advance if you have specific accessibility requirements or would like to discuss your visit. This helps us make sure the appropriate arrangements are in place when you arrive.  

 

Refreshments

Refreshments vary by event, but a bottle bar is typically available during performances.

At Parabola Arts Centre, the bar is located in the foyer and usually opens around 30 minutes before a performance and during the interval, where applicable.

At Princess Hall, the bottle bar operates from the Garden Common Room and usually opens around 30 minutes before a performance and during the interval.

Bar opening times are at the discretion of the venue and may vary between events.

 

Please follow the instructions provided by the event organiser and venue team on the day. Restrictions may vary depending on the event.

 

During your visit

We recommend allowing enough time to find the venue, collect or check your tickets if necessary and take your seat before the advertised start time.

For specific arrival or door-opening times, please check the information provided for your event.

 

Photography, video and other recording are not permitted during performances unless the event organiser has specifically stated otherwise.

 

Yes. Mobile phones should be switched off during performances unless otherwise instructed by the event organiser.

 

Bags brought into the venue may be subject to a security check on arrival.

 

Lost property is retained for two weeks.

If you believe you have left something at one of our venues, please contact us with details of the item and when you visited.

 

Age guidance varies between events, please check the individual event information before booking.

Unless attending performances aimed at children aged five and under, parents are asked not to bring children to productions not suitable for their age.

If children are attending an event, they will require a ticket.

 

We want everyone to enjoy their visit, so we ask audience members to be considerate of those around them and respectful towards performers and staff. Disruptive, rude, abusive or drunken behaviour is not permitted, and visitors may be asked to leave if their behaviour affects others’ enjoyment or safety.

 

Venue hire

Yes. We hire a range of spaces for conferences, meetings, performances, filming, residential programmes, weddings, dinners and other events.

 

Yes. Parabola Arts Centre is available for theatre, performance, talks, comedy and other live events.

 

Yes. The Princess Hall is available for a range of large-scale events, including performances, concerts, conferences, weddings, dinners and celebrations.

 

Yes. Cheltenham Ladies’ College offers a diverse range of historic, contemporary and specialist filming locations.

 

Accommodation, suitable for summer schools, educational programmes, sports groups, language courses and other residential activities, is available for selected group programmes during school holiday periods.

 

We offers Celebrant-led Weddings and Wedding Receptions at CLC. We only have a small number of dates available each year and would encourage you to get in touch and visit so our dedicated co-ordinators can support you in the run up to your special day.
