Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra presents, A feast of Beethoven.
This concert is a celebration of Beethoven at his most heroic, defiant, and electrifying. We open with the Egmont Overture, a dramatic tribute to the fight for freedom, brimming with tension, courage, and ultimate triumph.
The mood deepens with the Piano Concerto No. 3, a work of brooding intensity and classical elegance, brought to life by our soloist, an old friend of the orchestra, Adam Heron.
Finally, we are swept into the ecstatic energy of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, a work Richard Wagner famously called “the apotheosis of the dance.” Its irresistible rhythms and driving momentum will bring the evening to a powerful, joyful close.
