Join us for a very special evening with broadcaster, TV presenter and author Clare Balding at Cheltenham Ladies College, as she shares stories from her extraordinary career and introduces her debut novel, Pastures New — all in support of Longfield Community Hospice. All proceeds help us provide free Hospice at Home, Counselling, Bereavement Support and Wellbeing Services to patients and their loved ones across Gloucestershire.
From growing up in a racing yard to commentating on national moments such as the King’s Coronation procession, and fronting coverage of the Olympics and Wimbledon, Clare’s life in broadcasting has been remarkable. Now, she turns to fiction: Pastures New is a warm and witty novel about a woman who swaps city life for a struggling farm in Monmouthshire. Expect reflections on the book, insights from Clare’s 30 years in broadcasting, and plenty of behind-the-scenes stories.
